ESRI Internet Mapping Software to Power Xionetic Technologies Locator Web Product

GIS Providing Location Information, Mapping, and Driving Directions to More Than 170 Businesses

Redlands, California—ESRI, the leading provider of geographic information system (GIS) software, announces that Xionetic Technologies, a developer of advanced location-based services software located in Bozeman, Montana, has selected ESRI’s RouteMAP IMS software to power its new store locator service.

Xionetic is using RouteMAP IMS to create Locator Web, a Web-based hosting solution that allows companies including Kohler, North Face and Sketchers to easily add a dealer or store locator and mapping and driving direction functionality to their Web sites without hosting the services themselves. Xionetic hosts more than 170 customers’ sites and plans to use RouteMAP IMS to rapidly grow this in the coming months.

Xionetic chose ESRI RouteMAP IMS after careful evaluation of many Internet GIS software solutions. "While I was researching different packages, I kept running into ESRI software," says Xionetic’s president and CEO Craig McCormack. "no other package we evaluated came close to the value of RouteMap IMS. With this software, we have the functionality and data we need to create successful branded sites for our customers."

"I’ve been involved in computer technology for a number of years," says Peter Martinson, IT manager, Xionetic Technologies. "I couldn’t believe how easy RouteMAP IMS was to implement. ESRI really delivered on their promises."

RouteMAP IMS is an easy-to-deploy, out-of-the-box solution allowing companies like Xionetic to easily and affordably add mapping, routing, and driving direction capabilities to Web sites. Companies can publish an unlimited number of maps, routes, and other services without the overhead of transaction fees or third-party ads. In addition, RouteMAP IMS allows companies to publish custom maps and find routes or locations from data for the whole of the United States, Canada, and Europe.

"We are pleased Xionetic Technologies has chosen to use RouteMAP IMS," says Jay Hoffman, product specialist, ESRI. "They are providing a valuable service to customers by creating state-of-the-art branded Internet sites with much-needed location and direction services."
